Intrepid Participates in Giving Tuesday

Intrepid was proud to join The Community Foundation of Greater Huntsville at its third annual Giving Tuesday celebration on November 30, 2021.

Giving Tuesday is celebrated each year on the first Tuesday after Thanksgiving to kick off the holiday season with a spirit of generosity. This year, 14 local companies from the Foundation’s Corporate Giving Network contributed more than $1 million in grant donations. These funds directly support 54 different local non-profits in Huntsville.

During the event, Intrepid announced its yearly contribution of $47,000 in grants through the Intrepid Ideal Community Fund. Our 2021 recipients include The Riley Center, New Hope Children’s Clinic, Kids to Love Foundation, and Next Step Farms.

Giving back to the communities in which Intrepid operates is a foundational piece of the company. The Ideal Community Fund allows us to increase charitable giving and to provide employees an opportunity to support cherished causes and local needs in an informed, active way. All funds issued through the Ideal Community Fund are 100% employee contributions.

Our participation with the Community Foundation’s Corporate Giving Network allows Intrepid to work alongside other businesses within the Greater Huntsville area who engage in corporate philanthropy and community relations with the purpose of growing generosity in our region. Each year, the Corporate Giving Network continues to break records with its Giving Tuesday contributions. We look forward to setting the bar even higher with charitable giving in 2022!
