Earlier this week, members of the Intrepid Ideal Community Fund issued the final two grants of 2024.

The first grant, totaling $5,050, was awarded to the Downtown Rescue Mission. These funds will support 3-4 months of nutritious breakfast options for the women and children residing in the Emergency Shelter and Life Transformation Program. The Downtown Rescue Mission provides hope and support to individuals and families experiencing homelessness, offering services that help them achieve stability and independence.

The second grant, totaling $5,000, was awarded to Fostering Connections. This grant will help provide urgently needed items for The Closet, including car seats, diapers, formula, shoes, and beds with mattresses, ensuring essential support for foster families in need. Fostering Connections works to equip and empower foster families with resources to care for children in their homes, creating a better future for kids in the foster system.
