Intrepid Issues $5,000 Grant to The Caring Link
Employee participants of Intrepid’s Ideal Community Fund were pleased to present the final grant of 2023 to The Caring Link in the amount of $5,000. 
These funds help to equip each of the nonprofit’s in-school Care Closets with transition kits for children entering foster care or experiencing a change of custody or other emergency need.
Teachers and staff have immediate access to items such as clothing, coats, shoes, school supplies, toiletries, food/snacks, and comfort items.
“By providing resource security, these kits help to ease some of the trauma and uncertainty that often accompany these stressful situations,” said Kate O’Neal, President of The Caring Link.
Since receiving the grant, the organization has had 10 transition kits go out. Additional programs The Caring Link provides include book fairies, extracurricular funding, class med kits, class snack bins, pop-up prom shop, and PACE uniforms.
